KBCR-S05TU at a Glance

Shikino's new KBCR-S05TU camera module is a 2MP USB 2.0 solution that stands out for:

• New DCG HDR technology that reduces the false colors and artifacts that conventional multi-exposure HDR produces when it merges images.

• Up to 120 dB HDR, planned Full HD capture at 30 fps and better visibility at night, for practical image quality without unnecessary complexity.

• A footprint of just 29 mm × 29 mm, so it fits even where space is tight.

• High-quality MJPEG streaming, which can also give cleaner images for OCR applications because there is less compression noise.

Applications for the KBCR-S05TU

Shikino has more than 20 years of experience developing camera modules. Its new module includes features that make downstream processing much simpler in difficult light conditions, such as bight backlit scenes. The KBCR-S05TU gives application developers excellent image data, whether they are detecting people against bright backgrounds or recognizing orientation markers in motion.
