EM Microelectronic is a semiconductor manufacturer specialized in ultra-low-power and low-voltage ICs for battery-powered and field-powered applications. The company was founded in Switzerland in 1975, initially developing miniaturized, power-efficient circuits for electronic watches, and has been part of the Swatch Group since 1985. Building on this heritage, EM has evolved into a leading supplier of highly optimized integrated circuits for industrial, consumer, automotive and IoT applications.

EM operates its own semiconductor and display manufacturing facilities in Switzerland, with headquarters in Marin as well as R&D centers in Prague and Colorado Springs, complemented by additional production sites in Asia. Its portfolio includes integrated circuits, modules and displays featuring extremely low power consumption and high time accuracy – among them RFID ICs, ultra-low-power microcontrollers, power management ICs, LCD drivers and displays, sensor and opto ICs, as well as 32-bit MCUs and standard analog ICs.
