Electric gardening tools can be found in almost every household these days. End users expect ever higher performance with longer battery life for smaller and lighter devices. Qorvo PACs are designed to control and drive BLDC motors. These SoCs integrate a programmable microcontroller, power management, gate drivers and analog front end in a small QFN package.
PACs designed for up to 160V are very suitable for low-voltage and high-voltage gardening tools with batteries up to 80V (e.g. battery driven lawn mowers). They integrate everything to build garden tools with complex control, monitoring and diagnostic requirements. Further they only need lowest standby current, which means consumers can immediately use their tools even after months of storage.
The Qorvo PAC portfolio has also devices with integrated DC/DC Controller for voltages up to 600V, making it ideal also for AC powered gardening tools.
