Intelligent Camera Module KBCR-iC41MG: Shikino High-Tech from Japan is an expert in camera modules and IP core for image processing. Founded in 1987 Shikino developed equipment for testing semiconductors. Shikino’ camera division was founded two decades ago in 2004.

The KBCR-iC41MG is based on an ¼” rolling shutter color sensor with 1.2M Pixels. Its image resolution is 1280 x 960 pixels in YUV color. The sensor supports HDR and of course exposure and gain control. White balance auto adjustment and a lot more various picture adjustment functions are available in software.
This camera module adopts the Renesas’ RZ/V2L Series as a processor to enable AI functions to process the image data right on the module. With its small mechanical footprint of 50 mm x 50 mm it can be integrated in lots of applications.
The camera comes with an integrated 16 Gbyte eMMC flash for the customer’s application & AI models.
There are several application examples like the counting of persons being visible, gesture recognition, vacant car parking space or more specific application like the detection if people have fallen to the ground or not.
