Renata – ICR rechargeable coin cells: With the new ICR10xx, ICR11xx, ICR12xx and ICR14xx, Renata offers Li-Po coin cells with capacities from 31 mAh to 104 mAh. These fully sealed cells offer better safety than classic pouch packs and are very robust against mechanical stress. Renata has designed the products for over 1000 charging cycles.
Thanks to a newly developed hermetic glass-to-metal seal, Renata has managed to create more space inside the cell for the active material, allowing the capacity to be optimised. This seal also provides excellent protection against electrolyte leakage and guarantees safe use.
The innovative housing design also offers outstanding mechanical stability and does not allow any measurable swelling. In addition, the service life and cycle stability have also been improved as a result.
These cells are ideal for applications in medical technology in monitoring, drug logistics or insulin pens, but also for smart watches and other mobile applications that require a space-saving and reliable cell.
Renata offers different diameters from 10.2 mm to 14.2 mm. These cells support quick charging with up to 4 C currents, but the nominal charging current is 0.2 C. The cells can be charged in the temperature range 0 °C to +45 °C. They can be discharged between -20 °C and +60 °C – nominally with 1 C constant current and with 2 C for a short time.
Self-discharge at room temperature is less than 2 % per month, so that the cells can also be stored at low capacity.
