3PEAK – Bi-directional Current Sense Amplifier TPA191 Series
The bidirectional current measuring amplifiers of the TPA191 series with very low drift can measure voltage drops via shunts at common-mode voltages from -0.3 V to 36 V, independently from the supply voltage. Seven fixed gain values from 20 V/V to 1000 V/V are planned for this task. 50 V/V, 100 V/V and 200 V/V are already available.
The low offset of the zero-drift architecture enables current detection with low voltage drop of only 10 mV full-scale across a shunt resistor.
The TPA191 derivatives require an operating voltage of between 2.7 V and 36 V and have an operating current consumption of 80 µA (typical).
The amplifiers are specified for operation in a temperature range from -40 °C to 125 °C and are offered in a space-saving SOT-363 housing.
